I stepped outside a few days ago and was awestruck by the way my usually run of the mill neighborhood seemed suddenly mysterious, all draped in mist.
It seemed as if anything might materialize out of the fog.
As I walked, trees that seemed far away and obscured would suddenly snap into sharp focus, as if they were leaping out of the fog.
I think any landscape can be an enchanted one, with the right perspective.
But fog takes all the work out of seeing the enchantment.
It made my walk along sidewalks and asphalt paths dream-like and steeped in significance.
Which could mean that it made me see everything more clearly.
